Comedian Bovi Ugboma has shared a near ugly experience at a hotel in London.
The comic merchant, who just travelled to London to support his colleague, Basketmouth for his album “Horoscope” launch lamented the extent of damage internet fraudsters has perpetuated putting many innocent persons at a disadvantaged position.
Bovi said the hotel he was to check into on arriving in London thought he was into internet fraud as they insisted he provided the card he used in booking his reservation.
And to add fuel to the fire, his card was being declined.
According to the father-of-three, to save himself for the first time ever, he had to tell them to google him up and that saved the day.
He wrote: “Simon Leviev done spoil everywhere o. Tryna check into a hotel in London and they insist I present the card that I used for the booking.
“I tell them it was done for me and my wife and she’s in naij. They made it worse. They think I’m stealing.
“Then to crown am, my own card dey decline. For the first time in my life, I said the words ‘Google Me’.”
