The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has again had a freudian slip while delivering a speech in Delta state.
Tinubu, on Friday, November 25, 2022, in Gbaramatu community in Warri South-West Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, during a campaign rally, wrongly described the governorship candidate of Delta State for the 2023 election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, as contesting for the position of ‘Niger Delta’ State governor. Omo-Agege is currently the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate.
“I equally recognise today the Deputy-Senate president currently, and he will be the governor of Niger Delta State,” Tinubu said as his allies clapped.
Following the error, a chieftain of the APC sharing the stage with the presidential hopeful quickly corrected him, saying “Delta State”.
This is the second time this month that the APC standard flagbearer will commit such a blunder while delivering a speech.
During the APC presidential campaign flag-off in Jos, Plateau state, Tinubu while delivering his speech, called on Nigerians to be positive adding that things will be well.
He stated, “ Hope is back, Nigeria will be well. Nigeria will not sink. We hereby reaffirm our commitment to progressive good governance.”
The former Lagos state governor, while concluding his speech, called on God to bless the PDP. He said; “Thank you and God bless PD…..APC”.
Recall that concerns have been raised over the 70-year-old’s health and fitness, but the former Lagos State governor has declared that he is not sick but hale and hearty, saying it often baffles him when the opposition kept insisting that he is sick or questions his mental capacity.
